Welcome to The Musclecar Guide. We've compiled photographs and information
on many of the legendary American Musclecar makes and models with an emphasis
on the time period 1964 through 1974 (the Musclecar Era). Many believe
the Musclecar Era started with the Pontiac GTO in 1964 and was characterized
by the "Big Three's" new interest in putting large high output
engines in small light weight cars. The end of the Musclecar Era came with
the unfortunate de-tuning effects of emissions controls and ultimately
the OPEC oil embargo. Please enjoy reading about some of our favorite things
to write about. More and more cars will be added, so come back and visit
